The Intelligence Bureau under the Ministry of Home Affairs has officially released the Final Result of Security Assistant/Motor Transport (SA/MT) Exam 2025 on 04 May 2026. Candidates who appeared in the recruitment process can now check the final selection list released by the department. The result has been published in PDF format containing the roll numbers of selected candidates from different regions across India.
According to the official notice, the final result has been prepared based on the combined performance of candidates in Tier-I Examination (Computer Based Test) conducted on 30 October 2025 and Tier-II Motor Mechanism & Driving Test cum Interview held from 09 March 2026 to 19 March 2026. Candidates who successfully cleared all stages have been provisionally selected for appointment to the post of Security Assistant/Motor Transport in Intelligence Bureau.
The recruitment examination was conducted for various Subsidiary Intelligence Bureau (SIB) regions including Delhi, Ranchi, Patna, Kolkata, Mumbai, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Jammu, Srinagar, Guwahati and many more. Thousands of candidates participated in the recruitment process and now the final result has brought relief and excitement for selected aspirants.
As per the official notification, the final merit list has not been arranged in order of merit. Instead, the roll numbers are organized SIB-wise and region-wise for easier identification by candidates. The notice also mentioned that candidates belonging to reserved categories such as EWS, OBC, SC and ST who are listed under the Unreserved category have qualified on general standards.
Some roll numbers in the result PDF are marked with “(P)”, which means their candidature is provisional due to pending documents or verification formalities. Such candidates are required to submit the necessary documents during joining or whenever requested by the department.
The Intelligence Bureau has also clarified that mere qualification in the examination does not guarantee final appointment. Selected candidates will still have to complete character verification, antecedent verification, medical examination and other eligibility formalities before final joining.
Candidates from Ranchi region have also secured selection in the final result. Roll numbers including 817408100009, 818409100004, 818409100005, 818409100007, 818409100019 and others have been included in the final selection list for Ranchi SIB. Similarly, selected candidates from Patna, Kolkata, Delhi IB Headquarters and other regions can check their roll numbers in the official PDF notice.
The Security Assistant/Motor Transport post is considered an important opportunity for candidates seeking government jobs in the intelligence and security sector. The post includes responsibilities related to driving, vehicle maintenance and assisting intelligence operations. Due to the reputation of the Intelligence Bureau and the benefits associated with central government employment, the competition level for this recruitment remained very high.
