Vacancy Details
A total of 572 vacancies have been announced across various RBI offices such as Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kanpur & Lucknow, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, Patna, and others. The vacancies are distributed among different categories including General, SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen in accordance with government reservation norms.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for RBI Office Attendant Recruitment 2025, candidates must satisfy the nationality, age, and educational requirements.
Applicants must be Indian citizens or fall under other categories recognized by the Government of India, such as subjects of Nepal or Bhutan, Tibetan refugees who settled in India before January 1962, or persons of Indian origin who migrated from specified countries with the intention of permanent settlement.
The age limit is set between 18 and 25 years as on 01 January 2026. Candidates must have been born between 02 January 2001 and 01 January 2008 (both dates inclusive). Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and certain women candidates as per government rules.
In terms of educational qualification, candidates must have passed 10th Standard (Matriculation) from a recognized board of the State or Union Territory falling under the jurisdiction of the RBI office they are applying to. Selection Process
The selection process consists of two stages:
The first stage is an Online Test comprising four sections: Reasoning, General English, General Awareness, and Numerical Ability. Each section contains 30 questions, making a total of 120 questions for 120 marks. The total duration of the examination is 90 minutes. There is a negative marking of one-fourth of the marks for each incorrect answer, and candidates must qualify in each section separately.
Candidates who clear the online test will be called for the second stage, the Language Proficiency Test (LPT). This test evaluates the candidate’s ability to read, write, speak, and understand the official or local language of the State for which they have applied. The LPT is qualifying in nature, but failure to clear it will result in disqualification.
Final selection is based on performance in the online examination, successful qualification in the LPT, document verification, and medical fitness.
Salary and Benefits
Selected candidates will receive a starting basic pay of ₹24,250 per month under the pay scale prescribed by the Bank. With allowances, the initial gross monthly salary is approximately ₹46,000 (excluding HRA). If Bank accommodation is not provided, House Rent Allowance (HRA) is paid as applicable.
In addition to salary, employees are entitled to a wide range of benefits, including medical facilities, education reimbursement, leave fare concession, conveyance allowance, insurance coverage, gratuity, and pension under the New Pension Scheme. Nature of Work
The post of Office Attendant is a Class IV position.
